Adobe announced a new offer called the 'Photoshop Photography Program' on its official blog on Tuesday. The deal, at only $9.99 per month gives owners of Photoshop CS3-CS6 licenses access to Photoshop CC, Creative Cloud Learn, Lightroom 5, Behance ProSite and 20Gb of online storage, as well as ongoing software updates.
Previewed earlier this month at the Photoshop World conference in Las Vegas, the offer will likely encourage more photographers to make use of the company’s cloud services providing users of Photoshop's older versions easy access to Adobe’s latest tools at a more affordable price.
This attempt to pull older users into Adobe’s new subscription-to-the-cloud ecosystem is a strong indication that it understands some of the resistance to change from legacy users.
The cloud based service now includes the ability for users to sync their files and folders in the Creative Cloud directly to their desktop. Memberships now also include access to over 700 fonts from Typekit, which can be easily synced to your computer and used freely. Anybody wanting to take advantage of this needs to download the 'Creative Cloud' desktop app.
Though, Adobe isn't all too generous with the deal ending on December 31st, 2013 - so hurry and don't miss out!
